Interviews with candidates for elected office including the State Legislature and McLean County Board. WGLT organized a “Candidate Open House” with multiple politicians running in the 2024 election this November at the Bone Student Center at Illinois State University.
Agitation Rising News attended the WGLT Candidate Open House and interviewed multiple candidates for the McLean County Board and Illinois State Legislature. Candidates were asked about their accomplishments and goals if they are (re)elected, the results of the Pretrial Fairness Act which abolished cash bail, cannabis legalization, support for mental mobile health crisis teams, solutions to the unhoused crisis, and their positions on lifting the ban on rent control.
